Art in the Park (AITP) is a key function that we feel is essential to the community. This afternoon in the summer is dedicated to Local and Emerging Artists to display their work in an environment conducive to their needs. This is a family friendly event with food, entertainment, a large display of local artists, all set in the lovely atmosphere in Citizen's Park, right in front of the Jewel Tea Pavilion. |
Key Benefits |
Service to Artists - With Art in the Park acting as facilitator, Artists in the local area get an opportunity to reach others as both offering a product or service, and offering a face to a product or service, so the citizens served know who their community serves and what they can do to be more involved. |
Service to Individuals - Many people are under the assumption that art is only created by artists. In truth, we all create, and much of it is more artistic than we realize. It has been the goal of the BCAC from inception to reach out to others, and let them know that to create is something we can all do, as a community and as individuals, and the only limits
are those one sets on oneself. |
Service to Community - This event offers to facilitate the meeting of local citizens to local artists. The artists both display their work, and are on hand to talk about their work, and present art in a very involved way. |
