Daoud Ghaussy was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, raised in Tokyo, Japan, graduated from The College at The University of Chicago and obtained MBA from DePaul’s Kellstadt GSB. Daoud purchased a DSLR for his wife’s birthday in 2004 to transition her hobby and interest into digital photography. It didn’t even take a month before Daoud took over the new DSLR and that resulted the pursuit in digital photography. Daoud loves to shoot nature while on a family hikes or vacations, wild flower macros, family events and drastic weather scenes. All DSLR shootings have been done with Sigma cameras and lenses. Daoud’s computer literacy has helped him with digital photography’s necessity to work through personal computer and software processing.
Daoud is a member of the Lake County Camera Club, Barrington Cultural Arts Center, Japan America Society of Chicago and resides in Barrington, Illinois.
