Born and raised in Massachusetts, Jackie worked for many years as a Medical Technologist before turning her attention to art. She took several classes in interior design, focusing on color and composition, which would become the building blocks for her future artwork. After moving to Barrington, IL she was able to explore new avenues of expression, painting murals and working on set design for Barrington Community theatre productions.

When her three children were older, Jackie began taking oil painting classes with Dorothy Hraback at Kaleidoscope Art School, and continued studying with Cathy Barry and Frankie Johnson at Mainstreet Art Centre. She has participated in numerous workshops with many well known artists such as Rose Franzen, Diane Rath, Ken Backhaus, Brian Stewart, Gay Falkenberry, and Romel de la Torre.

Jackie finds inspiration from travelling to new places, always searching to see the beauty that others may not find, and honor the uniqueness of the ordinary, the everyday. An old man sitting alone on a park bench in Verona, Italy, a Sudanese woman serving tea in a tiny village in South Sudan, a young woman strolling through a garden, and colorful flowers in an antique vase are all subjects for her work.  Her paintings hang in corporate and private collections throughout the country.

Her paintings have been exhibited at:
Seabury Western Seminary, Arlington Heights Historical Museum, Lake Zurich Library, Mainstreet Art Centre, Barrington Gourmet, and most recently at the Ice House Mall Gallery, Starbucks Coffee, Barrington Bank and Trust, and Barrington Park District.
