John is a natural artist who likes to work recreationally with oils, pastels, ink, and water colors.  He joined the BCAC to keep up his artistic skills and to share ideas with other local artists.  His primary interests are capturing people in natural settings, however; his secondary and most productive artwork is depicting local historical military architecture.

Most notable are his works in pastels and ink of the Fort Sheridan Tower, "The Tower, Fort Sheridan, Illinois Circa 1890" and Building One at Great Lakes "The Clock Tower" both were put into limited edition production in the mid 1990s.

Since then, John continued to produce several architectural renderings in the same medium for local homebuilders and developers.

John is a retired U.S. Army engineer and logistician; he and his family reside in McHenry.
